Kay ‘n Dave’s in Culver City
9341 Culver Boulevard
Kay ‘n Dave’s is a cool Mexican Cantina with a long bar, ample seating and friendly clientele making a good bar scene.
Here’s the Deal
Happy Hour: 4-7pm Daily
What to Drink: If you’ve got the cajones, try the chilled shot of cazadores reposado for $3 with a Tecate chaser, also for $3. The house margarita and well drinks are $3 during happy hour and a Mezcal margarita and house wines are $4.
What to Eat: Happy hour menu items are priced between $1-$5. For $1 you get a mini chicken, carnitas or veggie taco. We had the Mexican Pizza, which was great – especially when we added a bit of the salsa that came with the warm tortilla chips to it. We also had the Spinach/Mushroom/Onion Quesadilla and the Chicken Mole Quesadilla, which were both $3 each and delicious.
Bartenders to Meet: Gary, a part-time actor who plays the harmonica (though not while he’s tending bar!)
For One More Drink Try: The Culver Hotel. If you’ve gone this far for Happy Hour, walk across the street and have one more drink at the Historic Culver Hotel. The hotel has a lobby, restaurant and bar that feels like an old Hollywood version of the Palm Court. Constantine is the bartender during Happy Hour.
Parking: There are several parking structures in downtown Culver City as well as a valet service for all the businesses. If you’re lucky, you can find a meter. There is more parking available on Venice Blvd.
